We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use FaxToFax. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across our website and web app. Some limitations remain, most importantly that faxes themselves are images of pages that screen readers cannot read. If anything gets in your way, email support@faxtofax.com and we will help.
1. Our goal
We aim for FaxToFax to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities.
2. How we work toward it
In designing and building FaxToFax, we aim to:
- use clear headings, page structure and landmarks so that assistive technologies can navigate the pages;
- label every form field and explain errors in text;
- make every feature usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
- use sufficient colour contrast and never rely on colour alone to convey meaning;
- let text resize and pages reflow without loss of content; and
- write in plain language.
3. Conformance status
We consider FaxToFax partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which means that some parts do not yet fully conform. This statement is based on a self-assessment completed in October 2026.
4. Known limitations
- Faxes are images. A received fax, and the preview of any fax, is an image of the pages, so screen readers cannot read the text in it. You can download the fax as a file and use text-recognition tools, or ask the sender for an accessible copy of the document.
- Sent documents lose accessibility features. When you send a document, it is converted into a black-and-white fax image, so features of the original file, such as headings, tags and image descriptions, do not reach the recipient.
- Card payment fields are provided by Stripe in a secure frame, so their accessibility depends partly on Stripe. If you have difficulty paying, contact us.
- Automatic sign-out is a security requirement. Account owners can choose 15, 30 or 60 minutes of inactivity, and the app warns you before you are signed out so that you can stay signed in.
5. Compatibility
FaxToFax is designed to work with current versions of major web browsers and with the assistive technologies that support them, such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control and keyboard-only navigation.
6. Feedback and help
If you have trouble using any part of FaxToFax, or need one of our documents in another format, email support@faxtofax.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Please tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do and, if you are comfortable, the assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 business days, and we will work with you to find a way for you to complete your task.
7. If you are not satisfied
If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the body responsible for accessibility or equality enforcement in your country.
8. About this statement
